All of our Japanese lessons are from a native Japanese tutor, who will not only help you learn Japanese but also help increase your confidence when using it. Ways to Learn Japanese with Tutorcom:

Flexible Regular Japanese Lessons for individuals
Flexible Regular Japanese Lessons for small groups (2-5 students)

Intensive Courses (One day, 15 or 30-hour Intensives)

Lessons take place at your home or office (or other venue chosen by you) and can take place any time between 8am and 9pm (Monday to Fridays) or at weekends (flexible times). Our recommendation is for 1.5-hour lessons but lessons can be 1 hour or longer.

Costs:
One-to-One Tuition: £40 per hour
Small Group Tuition: £50 per hour

A Few Facts…Japanese

Spoken by 130 million people mostly in Japan.
The Japanese language reflects the hierarchical nature of Japanese society, with verb forms and particular vocabulary to indicate the relative status of the speaker, the listener or a person mentioned in conversation.
The Japanese language is written with a combination of three different types of scripts: modified Chinese characters called kanji, two syllabic scripts made up of modified Chinese characters called hiragana and katakana.
The Latin alphabet is often used in modern Japanese, especially for company names and logos or advertising.
Japanese vocabulary has been heavily influenced by loanwords from other languages such as Chinese and English but also Portuguese and Dutch because of 16th and 17th century trade relationships.
Japanese has an extensive grammatical system to express politeness and formality: “humble language” is used to talk about oneself or one's own group whilst “honorific language” is mostly used when describing the interlocutor and their group.
