Welcome to our Language Teachers
Our language teachers are our most important asset. The success of our company is dependent on our teachers’
professionalism and expertise, so we take great care in selecting them.
How do we recruit our teachers?
Each month we received hundreds of CVs from candidates wishing to register with Tutorcom. The initial selection is made based on each person’s qualifications and experience: our clients expect tailored courses delivered by seasoned professionals so we aim to recruit teachers with a language-related qualification and at least 2 years language-teaching experience.
We do prefer to work with native teachers as their accent and cultural knowledge is more accurate but we make exceptions in areas where language teachers are hard to find and in the case of bilingual teachers – we do, however, require that they have lived in the country for a period of time to ensure a good quality accent and first-hand cultural knowledge.
The teachers who get through this initial paper-sift then undergo an interview with our Recruitment Manager. The purpose of this interview is to confirm the teacher’s qualifications, get more in-depth information on their prior teaching experience and to “get a feel” for their character. At Tutorcom, we believe that a teacher’s personality is an important factor in the success of the student-teacher relationship: we look for enthusiastic, professional, open-minded and friendly tutors who have a real passion for teaching and sharing their culture.
After the interview, successful teachers must send in documents such as:
Her knowledge of both languages has ensured that she understands the difficulties that students encounter when learning one or the other language and trying to master the alphabet and accent.
